The state of Colorado is TEST OPTIONAL! This means you are not required to send your test scores, but if you earned a competitive score you should consider submitting them with your applications to Colorado colleges and universities!

SAT can be up to 3 hours while the ACT can be up to 2 Hours and 55 minutes without writing.
SAT is scored 400-1600 and ACT is scored 1-36
structure and format of exam questions are also different
Each exam is widely accepted at US colleges and universities, but check with your college you are apply for to see which one you should take.
